This lesson plan uses the climate change debate as a framework for teaching middle schoolers about Confirmation Bias. The Confirmation Bias is our tendency to interpret information in a way that confirms our preexisting beliefs or hypotheses, and is prevalent among hard-liners on both sides of the climate issue.
